Campaign Coordinator, Light The Night Walk

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Alabama/Gulf Coast Chapter is seeking a full time, enthusiastic, highly organized Light The Night Walk Campaign Coordinator to support and grow the Light The Night program in the Huntsville and Florence, Alabama markets.

The Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by bringing together teams of families, friends, co-workers and local and national corporations to bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers.

Reporting to the Campaign Director, the ideal candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, and team-and results-oriented. Successful candidates will have experience with fundraising, marketing, and/or event management and be capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Position Title:　　Campaign Coordinator, Light The Night

Basic Function: 　Responsible for coordinating and implementing certain elements of Light The Night Walk campaigns for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society within the chapter’s chartered area. Position will be based in Huntsville, Alabama.

Work Direction:　Works under the supervision, direction and training of the Light The Night Director to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implements plans for assigned Light The Night special events, including the corporate breakfast, kickoff, and Light The Night Walk.
• Prepares campaign materials required for the successful implementation of assigned special events.
• Provides staff support for volunteers required for implementation of assigned special events.
• Coordinates elements of promotional activities to ensure the success of events and to enhance public awareness of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its mission.
• Prepares, coordinates and maintains campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports.
• Manages the development of fundraising teams.
• Coordinates and manages all aspects of Light The Night Walk logistics.
• Responsible for all volunteer recruitment and coordination of corporate executive committee
• Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs to address them.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Experience in community affairs, community organization, volunteer development and leadership, corporate development and/or fundraising
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and professional demeanor.
• Well connected among local business and community leaders.
• Resourcefulness, promotions savvy and problem solving acumen
• Superior relationship management skills – Able to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of personalities and leadership styles
• Capable of leveraging relationships and negotiating agreements
• Enthusiastic, goal-oriented and committed to excellence
• Strong word processing and database management skills
• Ability to make public presentations
• Demonstrated project management capabilities
• Minimum Required Education – Bachelor’s Degree
